Eco-friendly HVAC systems are in demand

Eco-friendly HVAC systems are in demand

Environmental friendliness is an undeniable trend in 2022. It mostly aims at energy saving and contributes to the preservation of the environment. This trend is also expected to grow in the years to come.

Environmental awareness concerns what we eat and breathe, how we live and work, how we heat our homes and so on. Therefore, technologies based on alternative energy-saving sources are gaining more and more popularity. Green solutions for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are in demand indeed.

Benefits of going green with my HVAC system

As a Las Vegas heating and air conditioning company, we keep up with modern eco-friendly solutions, and we’re interested in showing you the advantages of going green with your heating & air conditioning. So, let's dig a little deeper and see how we can benefit from shifting to eco-friendly HVAC systems.

  • The preservation of the environment is becoming an urgent need for current and future generations. So, the first benefit to consider here is that by opting for green HVAC technology, homeowners can save energy, which will have a positive impact on the air we breathe and our nature in general. Isn’t it nice to know that you consciously save the environment on a daily basis?

  • We also must mention that eco-friendly models are more energy-efficient. What does it mean? The higher the energy efficiency, the less energy an AC unit consumes with the same heating capacity. HVAC manufacturers are constantly working on reducing the energy the device consumes to achieve a comfortable temperature at home or in a commercial building.

  • Lower energy bills to pay would be another considerable advantage that comes with going green. As it was mentioned above, modern eco-friendly heating & air conditioning systems are aimed at reducing energy consumption and, thus, get us a bonus – lower bills. Eco-friendly air conditioners have proven to be cost-effective in the long-term.

  • There are different programs that encourage residents to buy more energy-efficient systems while partially compensating for their costs. For instance, AC owners can benefit from air conditioning rebates in 2022 offered by NV Energy. As a participating contractor, Nevada Residential Services is partnering with NV Energy through the PowerShift program. If you’re interested in residential air conditioning and water heating incentives including installation, replacement, repairs or upgrades, we can help you.

What are modern eco-friendly heating & air conditioning options?

Air-source heat pumps

This HVAC system type uses the heat of the air outside, warms and transfers it to the water circulating in the heating system. An air-source heat pump consists of two elements: an outdoor unit and an indoor unit. The former, while the latter uses the received energy to heat and cool the house, as well as to heat water.

One of the greatest advantages of this eco-friendly solution is that it can provide the house with the required amount of heat and hot water even when the temperature outside is low.

Dual fuel heat pumps

Dual fuel heat pumps combine air-source heat pump technology and gas condensing technology. Depending on the most optimal and cost-effective operation conditions, energy cost and heat pump efficiency, you can choose the right heating option for a certain period of time.

This approach gives the opportunity to considerably increase the heating capacity, save costs, and reduce energy consumption.

Geothermal heat pumps

Geothermal heat pumps are viewed as the most environmentally-friendly and energy-efficient means of heating and cooling a property. Heat pumps come in a wide range of models, allowing you to choose a solution for both homes and commercial facilities.

Using a renewable energy source, geothermal heat pumps take the heat from the ground, send it to the heating system and, thus, make the indoor temperature comfortable.

Ice-powered air conditioning

This air conditioning technology is based on using ice to cool properties. How does it work? During the night hours, the water in a tank turns to ice. This makes it possible to use the ice for cooling homes during the day.

It means that the process of cooling isn’t accompanied by the compressor running, so ice-powered air conditioning lowers energy consumption and contributes to cost-saving.

HVAC zoning

HVAC zoning is more of a reasonable approach to heating, cooling and air conditioning. It actually enables homeowners to control the distribution of heat around the house. This means that the temperature is maintained only in certain rooms.

The solution proves to reduce energy waste and, as a result, lower the bills, because you avoid heating the whole house if you don't need it.

We hold the opinion that it's important to be aware of eco-friendly HVAC systems and technologies that preserve the environment, transmit clean energy and improve the quality of indoor and outdoor air.

If you’re thinking of your current air conditioner replacement and buying a more energy-efficient one, Nevada Residential Services can introduce it. What is more, our team will always inform you on available air conditioning rebates in 2022 offered by NV Energy. And once you’ve decided on the best option for your needs, our technicians will provide quality AC installation & replacement.
