RTU (roof top unit). A type of HVAC equipment that is installed on the roof. It is almost the same as Air Handling Unit (AHU). There is no big difference between AHU and RTU.
RTU it's a self-contained unit that provides both heat and air conditioning for certain types of spaces.
How does RTU works?
After installation Rooftop AC unit works as follows: Cool, low-pressure refrigerant arrives at the compressor as a gas and then compresses into a hot, high-pressure gas as it flows into the condenser coil.
Air conditioning is essential for those living in the Nevada, which means units need to be easy to maintain. Rooftop units also avoid the problem of needing to push cold air upwards, allowing them to run longer and with less energy than indoor units.
