Eligibility Requirements for Air Conditioning Incentives
To be eligible for an incentive:
- The home where the new equipment is being installed must be located within the NV Energy service territory.
- The home must be a residential single-family home or townhome. Multifamily units do not qualify.
- The home must have a current residential account/rate code with the utility.
- Equipment must not receive incentives from any other energy efficiency program from NV Energy.
- Customer income qualification eligibility will be confirmed through NV Energy.
- Customers who currently participate in the Nevada Energy Assistance Program are automatically eligible to receive a higher incentive.
- Customers living in affordable housing properties listed under organizations such as Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA), Reno Housing Authority (RHA), Nevada Rural Housing Authority (NRHA), Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Section 8 Housing may also qualify for this increased incentive.
Please note: Commercial accounts are not eligible for this program.
System Eligibility
The program provides direct payment of incentives only to distributors for equipment installed in homes that meet the customer eligibility criteria and system requirements. Residential systems (replacement or supplemental only, no new construction) must meet or exceed the following efficiency requirements:
- Air conditioning units of <65,000 BTU/h and minimum qualifying efficiencies.
- Air conditioning systems must be minimum 15.2 SEER2.
- Heat pump systems must be a minimum 15.2 SEER2/7.8 HSPF2.
- AHRI certified ductless heat pump systems must be minimum – 18 SEER2/9 HSPF2.
Please note: Window and room air conditioning units are not eligible through this offer.
